Los Angeles, California – Prana Café opened its doors to its first location, adjacent to hot spot Republic restaurant + lounge, in June 2006. The most recent addition to noted restaurateur Mikayel Israyelyan’s roster of dining destinations, Prana Café provides patrons with the perfect spot for a relaxing and comfortable breakfast or lunch experience.
Located on the corner of La Cienega and Melrose Place, Prana Café’s menu features healthy contemporary American cuisine with a Pan-Asian twist. The menu was developed by Republic’s Executive Chef Gabriel Morales. Selections include breakfast options such as Egg White Frittata, Korean Scramble, Prana French Toast and Build Your Own Omelets with ingredients such as Chicken Apple Sausage, Crab, Goat Cheese, Gorgonzola, Wild Mushrooms and Dill Crème Fraiche. Lunch choices include Asian Chopped Salad, Mediterranean Panini, Maryland Crab Cake Wrap and BBQ Braised Short Rib Sandwich.
Designed by Republic’s noted designer Margaret O’Brien in collaboration with Owner Mikayel Israyelyan, Prana Café is located on a beautiful tree-lined street. The space is opened to the sidewalk where a cork upholstered banquette, maple café tables and wicker chairs are placed both inside and out, covered by a canvas canopy. William Leslie illuminates the space with paper-sculptured wall sconces and low voltage suspended lighting fixtures that create a cozy experience.
Adding to the tranquil experience and designed for use by Prana Café patrons as well as the clients of the neighboring Spas, Salons and Vetted Antique shops, is Israyelyan’s take on the atypical ‘neighborhood newsstand’. Situated next to Prana Café, on the corner of Melrose Place, this mini-bookstore / elite newsstand offers high-end publications on fashion, design, art and other lifestyle subjects.
Prana Café is located at 650 N. La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for breakfast, lunch and takeout. The Café also offers breakfast and lunch catering options for meetings and events booked at The Venue at Republic. Arrangements can be made by calling 310-360-0551.
Israyelyan will open a Prana Café adjacent to Romanov, his high end Studio City Russian dining destination, in Summer 2007 and two other Prana Cafés in Los Angeles and Hollywood by 2008
The Venue at Republic provides 5,000-square-feet with state-of-the-art audio / visual hookup capabilities, modular booths, movable cabanas and other flexible features. Business conferences, private sit-down dinners, fashion shows, digital movie screenings and many other special functions can be held in The Venue, easily seating 200 breakfast, lunch and dinner meetings and serving 330 for standing room only events.
About the Management Prana Café is owned by Israyelyan & Associates., which is headed by President Mikayel Israyelyan.
